Why "Anastassia"? As i was making it, all the time in my mind there was this name. I think it fits very well!
The meaning of this name is "resurrection", or better is to say "she who shall rise up again". Meant to live forever!
My goodness, you've been busy! Beautiful work. I bet it did take some time to make-all that wrapping. Makes my fingers ache just looking at it! Is is 28 gauge? You've made some fantastic pieces recently, this one included. Looking at all your beautiful work makes me feel like I need to get back on track and kick my muse into gear!
Well, it really took some time to make it! Thank you for your compliments, appreciate!!! It's 26 gauge, wrapped on 20 and 18 gauges wire... i am practising while waiting for my silver to come finally to me, will be some projects maby little similar to these too
this is simply stunning!!! wonderful work dear Asta!!! and the name is wonderful too... when i hear this name i always remember the russian princess.. she has a very strange story with full of secrets
Wait until you try wrapping 28 gauge on 26 gauge...I cussed up a storm the first time!! That's what the vine on my garnet and pearls pendant is. That little tiny vine took me almost 3 hours! After that, the rest seems easy. You'll love working in silver, it shines so beautifully. As for my muse, she's on vacation right now. I've been doing basic things that don't take a lot of imagination until she comes back again. But I think she was peaking when I was looking at your beautiful work, and she might have gotten a little jealous, so she might be coming back soon
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
